I am putting out a blog for any one to ask any questions in relation to building with big wood, be it raw trees from the forest to milled square beams.

Hi Amber, thanks for being the first to kick of the blog. A Macrocarpa forest, lucky you. Simple answer is yes. If you have 800 of them I assume that its a managed forest to some degree hoping for pretty straight trees. The quality of the trees will be your next question, are they straight? How much taper do they have? and how old are the trees? One way or another you will be able to use those trees to build your home.

Ask any more questions if you have them.
