Below is the rundown of the process in a nut shell
At Aspiring Log Homes we do out up most to make the building process as easy an enjoyable for you as possible. From working with you local council to obtain the correct permits to working with and arranging local contractors to get your house to turn key finish. Naturally we what as much input from you as possible.
Stage 1
First we must come up with a design that I can give you a quote on, either a rough quote to start on to give you a ball park figure. Once we have a design such as the attached picture I can then accurately quote the cost to build the log home shell. If price is agreeable we can then move on to the contract process, then move to the next stage.

Stage 2
This is what your logs will look like once selected by the forestry workers. These logs are premium A Grade. This process can take from 2-4 weeks before we receive the logs.

Stage 3 and on wards
The logs are hand peeled to a wall paper finish. They are now ready to be used as a building material.

Stage 4
The wall logs are now stacked 1 on top of the other, each wall log is scribe fitted to the one below for an air tight fit. The notches will also be fitted with PEF rod foam and wool insulation to fill in the joinery voids. Also the window and door openings will be cut out at this stage and electrical holes and hurricane rods will also be drilled. This stage can take from 2- Months to 12- Months it all depends on design.

The log shell is now completed and ready to be delivered to your property for re assembly. It will be taken apart like one big jig saw puzzle and loaded onto a truck, or shipping container, depends where you live as we ship world wide.
Once the log shell arrives on site the Aspiring Log Home team will be there ready to meet it and re-assemble it for you on site. Average time frame is 1 day to 3 days for finished re-assembly of your log shell. The house in the photo took 2 days to re-assemble on site.
